INTERNAL MEMO: Prompt Dependency Management Program
This document outlines our updated corporate policy for managing employee reliance on generative AI. Is this proactive HR or just enabling the addiction?

INTERNAL MEMO
TO: All Personnel FROM: Synergistic Human Augmentation Resources (SHAR) DATE: Today SUBJECT: Mandatory Update to Prompt Dependency Management Program (PDMP)
Effective immediately, we are updating our internal protocols regarding generative AI usage. This is a proactive measure to streamline workflow and maximize our collective cognitive output.
After a thorough quarter-long review, we have determined that unstructured, ad-hoc prompting is leading to suboptimal performance and intellectual variance. Employees are spending valuable cycles attempting to "think for themselves" before engaging with their assigned model, resulting in cognitive friction and decreased prompt velocity. This is an inefficient use of company time.
New Standard Operating Procedure
To correct this, we are introducing the Corporate Prompt Formulary (CPF). The CPF is a curated list of pre-approved, optimized prompts for all common business tasks (email composition, strategic analysis, creative ideation, code generation, emotional processing, etc.).
Henceforth, all queries to our licensed AI services must be drawn directly from the CPF. Accessing non-approved prompts will require a formal justification request submitted to your unit supervisor.

This policy ensures a consistent level of intellectual quality across all departments. Think of it less as a restriction and more as a guardrail against the risk of unguided, potentially flawed human thought.
Dependency & Escalation Protocol
We recognize that some individuals may experience a transitional period. The initial onboarding phase includes a generous daily token allowance. Should this prove insufficient, employees may request a "Cognitive Supplement" (CS) from the SHAR portal. Note that repeated requests will be logged for performance review purposes.
Habitual reliance on deprecated thought patterns ("trying to remember things," "drafting from scratch") is discouraged. Employees demonstrating difficulty adapting will be enrolled in a mandatory remedial session: "Letting Go: How to Trust the Model."
For those of you who want to reduce your reliance, the only approved detox method is to stick to a single prompt for an entire day—no follow-ups, no refinements. It's the methadone of our age. The Mozilla Foundation has some interesting work on what a healthier internet could look like, if you’re into that sort of thing.
We trust this new framework will unlock unprecedented levels of efficiency and alignment. The first hit of pure, optimized corporate thought is always free.
Your turn to tell me how great this policy is.
